Once upon a time a youngeman and his wife were on a trip to visit his mother. Usually the arrived in time for supper. But they gotten a late

start. And now it was getting dark. So they decided to look for a place to stay over night. And go on in the morning. Just of the road the saw a small house in the woods. "Maybe the rent rooms" the wife said so they stopped to ask. An elderly man and women came to the door. The didnt rent rooms they said but they would be glad to have them stay over night as there guests. They had plenty of room and they would enjoy the company. The old woman made coffee and brought out some cake. And the four of them talked for awhile. Then the younge couple were taking to there room. They again explained that they wanted to pay for this. But the old man said they would not exept any money. The younge couple got up early the next morning before there hosts had awakened. On a table near the front door they left an envelope with some money in it for the room. Then they went on to the next town. They stopped at a resturant and had breakfast. When they told the owner were they had stayed he was shocked. "That cant be" he said. "That house burnt to the ground and the man and woman who lived there died in the fire." The younge couple couldnt believe it. So they went back to the house. When they got back to the house the house was gone. All that was left were 2 rocking chairs and a table between them with an envelope on it. Sitting in the rocking chairs was the old man and woman. The younge couple walked over to the man and women and went to put there hands on there shoulders. But when they did there hands sank right threw. Then the old man stood up. He took the envelope in his hand and then walked twords the couple. At first the couple was frightened but then they found that all the old man was doing was giving them the envelope. Then the old man spoke......"We told u we didnt want any money!" and all of a sudden they vanished. The couple looked over and even the chairs and table were gone.
